Good or naughty? With this large Lebkuchen cookie, you have a choice: Nikolo for everyone who has been good this year, Krampus for those with a few little sins. With a diameter of 11 cm, it is an eye-catcher in Nikolo's sack, on the office desk, or as a gift for Krampus and Nikolo Day – baked from original Metzger honey Lebkuchen according to a traditional recipe.
The original Metzger honey dough is "cooked" exclusively with honey from Austria and stored raw for over half a year. This allows the dough to mature naturally until it is processed into Lebkuchen with only spices, without the addition of eggs, fat, preservatives, or flavorings.
Thanks to the honey in the dough, the Lebkuchen cookies have a particularly long shelf life. If the Lebkuchen cookies become dry, Oma Metzger recommends: place them in a container overnight with a sliced apple.
