For everyone who was a little naughty this year: The large Krampus Lebkuchen is a tongue-in-cheek greeting for Krampus Day on December 5th. With a diameter of 11 cm, it makes quite an impression in the St. Nicholas bag, on the office desk, or as a gift for friends – baked from original Metzger honey Lebkuchen according to a traditional recipe.
The original Metzger honey dough is "cooked" exclusively with honey from Austria and stored raw for over half a year. This allows the dough to mature naturally until it is processed into Lebkuchen with only spices, without the addition of eggs, fat, preservatives, or flavorings.
Thanks to the honey in the dough, the Lebkuchen has a particularly long shelf life. If the Lebkuchen becomes dry, Grandma Metzger recommends: place it in a container overnight with a sliced apple.
