A kiss to savor: Our round kiss-shaped Lebkuchen is the sweet greeting for everyone you love – for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, as a surprise in a packed lunch, or just for a little treat. It is baked from original Metzger honey Lebkuchen dough according to a traditional recipe – Lebkuchen tradition since 1685.
The original Metzger honey dough is "cooked" exclusively with honey from Austria and stored in its raw state for over half a year. This allows the dough to mature naturally before it is processed into Lebkuchen with only spices, without the addition of eggs, fat, preservatives, or flavorings.
Thanks to the honey in the dough, the Lebkuchen has a particularly long shelf life. If the Lebkuchen becomes dry, Oma Metzger recommends: place it in a container overnight with a sliced apple.
