The original Metzger honey dough is "cooked" exclusively with honey from Austria and stored in its raw state for over half a year. This allows the dough to mature naturally until it is processed into Lebkuchen with only spices and without the addition of eggs, fat, preservatives or flavourings.
The honey in the dough makes the Lebkuchen particularly long-lasting. If Lebkuchen become dry, granny recommends Metzger: Put them overnight in an oven at tin with a sliced apple.

The high-quality chocolate couvertures enchant with an intense chocolate flavour, and combine perfectly with Lebkuchen and the fillings. The chocolate is made only with cocoa butter without the addition of foreign fats and refined with natural bourbon vanilla.
Ingredients: Orange marzipan (50% almonds, sugar, glucose syrup, orange juice concentrate, citric acid, glycerine, gum arabic, water, turmeric extract, stabiliser: sorbitol), ROGENMEHL, honey (35% in the dough), WHEAT flour, couverture (cocoa mass, cocoa butter, sugar, emulsifier: SOYA-LECITHIN), yellow sugar, dextrose, spices, ammonium, potash.
